This rug is a Ziegler Sultanabad rug made on our looms by our master weavers in Afghanistan. It is handmade with all-natural veg dyes all hand-spun wool. The popularity of Sultanabad Rugs goes back to the mid-19th century. Sultanabad’s were designed and produced for export to European consumers in the 19th and 20th centuries, the Ziegler firm being the primary producer.
