About the Item
This black and white graphic art area rug is one of the limited edition, one of a kind carpets that came out of a collaboration between Joseph Carini and ENX. ENX is known for his wolf stencils and women in kimonos. ENX has been putting in work on the streets of New York City with one of the graffiti world’s most legendary and enigmatic writers, Cost, of Cost and Revs fame. This carpet was a part of Carini Carpets' Back Against the Wall Graffiti Show.
An elephant is depicted in white over a grid background. Below are two Japanese women covering their eyes. Handwoven in our exclusive workshop in Nepal, this 100 knot count rug is knotted by hand with the finest Himalayan wool and fine Chinese silk. The result is a beautifully soft and luxurious area rug with a slight sheen.
Carini’s design philosophy is heavily influenced by historical contexts and nature, merging his graphic and organic design interests with his considerable knowledge of decorative arts, architecture, and industrial design history.
