An incredible early 20th century Central Asian Khotan rug with wonderfully rendered auspicious Chinese symbols like a footed tray holding a peach, pomegranate, and citron, flanked by two blossoming lotus plants. The border is complex with multiple distinct patterns. Many of them are styled after traditional Chinese patterns like the "Meandering Motif", and the Lingzhi mushroom motif.
