About the Item

This Tiger Sikkim Brown rug embodies a traditional and versatile pattern, both contemporary and timelessly classic. Shown in gold and brown, colored with vegetable dyes. Joseph Carini was inspired by the patterns on the tiger pelt and traditional Tibetan animal prints on rugs. Shown in 3' (W) x 6' (L) size (custom size available) and hand knotted with hand spun Himalayan wool. It is rich in organic texture and natural color. Available in additional and custom colorways and sizes. Also available in silk, wool, mohair, and wild nettle. Handwoven in our exclusive workshop in Nepal, this hand knotted rug has a dense, organically textured pile, making it highly resilient and durable. This rug is made using the finest natural hand spun Himalayan wool available. It makes a fabulous throw rug at the foot of a bed, or as a perfect versatile accessory bringing grounding color and pattern into any room. Carini’s design philosophy is heavily influenced by historical contexts and nature, merging his graphic and organic design interests with his considerable knowledge of decorative arts, architecture, and industrial design history. His expertise in exotic natural dyes and hand-processed materials has become a cornerstone of his work. Joseph Carini is known for his innovative approach, constantly experimenting with design concepts and natural materials. He works closely with designers and clients, offering his expertise to help realize their visions while ensuring practical and aesthetic success. His emphasis on quality and longevity means that each carpet is crafted to last a lifetime, using the most environmentally friendly dyes and processes. Since founding Carini in 1997, Joseph Carini has worked with diverse clients, from A-list celebrities to high-end projects. His creations appeal to design aficionados and art collectors who value unique, authentic pieces.
