Old Yomut Turkmen childs rug or cradle cover, these rugs are known as 'salatch' Circa 1920 An unusual six sided rug of small size, of prayer rug form with a mihrab at the top Note the use of green in the rug, this is quite unusual in Turkmen weavings I understand that these rugs were not used for prayer but as covers for young children Excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile Hand washed and ready for use or display Additional information: Place of Origin: Turkmenistan Period: circa 1920 Size: 4ft 6in x 3ft 3in (135 x 100cm) Reference: R-132
