About the Item

This captivating collection showcases the creative partnership between Joseph Carini and artist, Michelle Weinberg, blending vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and exceptional textile artistry. Their shared enthusiasm for dynamic compositions and the rich history of handmade textiles laid the groundwork for this collaboration. Each piece is a handwoven carpet, meticulously crafted in Nepal through bespoke production, ensuring unmatched quality and artistry. This collection celebrates the duo’s passion for color and striking graphics, with only 10 pieces available for each design. Each carpet is customizable in size, material, and color to suit individual tastes. “The carpets inspired by my Theoretical Color drawings are a sublime translation of these works which began as a mundane cataloging of the colored pencils I use. The bands of color gradients begin and end on surprising notes, and as handmade rugs they have a wow! impact. Precise color relationships always give me joy. The neutral tones setting up little explosions of fully saturated color are truly alive rendered in silk.” --Michelle Weinberg Shown here in a wool and silk twill, this 9x12 area rug is luxurious and playful. With wonderful sheen and softness, the pinks, reds, maroons, purples, indigos, and blues compliment one another beautifully to give a cheerful aura. The stripes dance together to create an arc. Suitable for many interior design styles. Handwoven in our exclusive workshop in Nepal, this rug is made using the finest Chinese silk and natural hand-spun Himalayan wool available. Available as a limited edition run of 10 and customizable to your particular size. Also available in a variety of materials including, silk, wool, mohair, wild nettle, and a combination. Please reach out for customization.
