Vintage Shahsavan Persian Kilim in Polychromatic Patterns by Rug & Kilim

About the Item

This vintage 5x7 Persian Kilim is believed to be a Shahsavan tribal rug. Handwoven in wool, it originates circa 1950-1960 and enjoys a polychromatic colorway with stripes and geometric patterns. Further on the Design: In its many rich and vibrant hues, this Kilim favors burgundy and blue with a rich brown undertone in the field and border. Keen eyes will further note an embroidered element in select geometry and admire its subtle complement to the presence. It's a finely detailed tribal rug in its era, and it further enjoys good condition with vast design applications.
