Based on a Flemish Verdure tapestry inspired by the 15th century discovery of the New World and its exotic vegetation. Exotic leaves in many shades of sage and pistachio and flowers and fruit in Venetian red, blue, gold, apricot grow freely on a green background surrounded by a antique rose border. Made with ancient French Aubusson dyeing and weaving methods, this hand woven Aubusson flat weave rug has thousands of subtle color shades, similar to antique Aubusson rugs. Has passed independent durability tests by the Independent Textile Service of Dalton, Georgia, USA. Green manufacturing methods make this rug safe for children and pets. Used with a pad this rug helps to keep rooms warm in winter and cool in summer. Measures: 9'8"x13'11".
