Made with hand-knotted silk, this custom rug sample is an exciting new addition to the Rug & Kilim’s Abstract line of Modern Collection—the first edition of a fabulous new series of designs, crafted in one of our most luxurious Nepalese pile qualities.
On the Design:
"Aura," is an exemplar of chromatic gradation, where deep indigo transitions through varying shades of celadon to an ivory ground. The design achieves atmospheric depth through color manipulation, creating an effect reminiscent of watercolor washes or misty horizons. Admirers of the craft will appreciate how each tonal shift appears both deliberate and organic, with subtle variations in the dyeing process creating ethereal depth across the surface. The ombré effect demonstrates particular sophistication in its execution, where each color appears to dissolve seamlessly into the next.
