Exclusive designer rug, hand-knotted from wool and real silk.
Our collection of high quality modern rugs is made in Nepal by excellent artisans. In order to get stunning look, we specifically looked for old women in small villages who can still master the art of hand spinning. Hand spinning gives the wool a certain irregularity in the yarn thickness, which is what gives this rug its special look.
In this piece, the finest 70% matka silk from China was combined with 30% Tibetan wool.
The touch is soft and cozy thanks to the use of the finest materials. The carpet is approx. 1/2 inch / 12 mm high.

This rug has a fantastic feel, very soft and smooth. We can produce this design in sizes up to 30 x 20 ft on order. Other color combinations are possible. Goes great with Art Deco, Versace decorated interiors or Hollywood Regency interior design, but will be an eye catcher in any room, no matter if it is a living room, dining room or bedroom.
The Djoharian Design Collection is located in Germany, all our rugs are shipped from there. We are licensed FAIR-TRADE partner of LABEL STEP FAIR TRADE CARPETS. Label STEP is the fair-trade non-profit organization committed to the wellbeing of weavers and workers in the handmade carpet industry.
Interior designers and architects are welcome to have this rug custom made in any size and color combination from 1200 different shades. We work with Pantone and RAL color systems.
