77814 vintage Chinese Floral Kilim rug 04'02 x 06'03. This hand-woven wool vintage Chinese kilim rug features a color blocked field and border festooned with gorgeous floral motifs. Four chrysanthemums and buds elegantly float in the field around a circular floral central medallion, while additional chrysanthemums with serrated leaves gracefully scroll across the corners and ends of the piece. Chrysanthemums, the flower of autumn, are associated with long life and a golden retirement; the dried petals of the flower immersed in wine were once thought to bring longevity to those who drank it. The simple, but graceful design is elegant and refined. Rendered in variegated shades of pink, black, beige, sky blue, gray, mauve, maroon, brown, and taupe with other accent colors.
