The total gold ochre field of this Tientsin Nichols style interwar carpet showcan asymmetric pattern comprised of two different corner floral motives, each dominated by a paeony and lesser rosettes and sprays. Heavy and uniform weave. Lustrous, silky pile. Cotton foundation. Intact carving sets off the design. Good condition.
