Antique Indian God Design Silk Extremely Fine Deccani Rug, 1900-1920
About the Item
This is an antique silk Deccani rug woven in India during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1900 -1920's and measures 90x 63CM in size. This rug's design is of an Indian God set in nature with snowcapped mountains in the background. Also, in the foreground of this rug, there is a bull resting on the ground, and cows and bulls are regarded as sacred animals in Indian culture. This small pictorial rug is in overall perfect condition and has retained its full silky pile and has all of its original silk fringes. It has recently been professionally washed and is ready to be displayed on any wall or used as a table mat.
