Handwoven in cotton, it’s a modern take on antique and vintage Dhurrie flatweaves by one of the best partner looms in our craft, specifically led by a devoted collector and student of these Dhurries whose collaboration has allowed us to make the most meaningful contribution to the style.
On the Design:
Deep blue and off-white underscore a simple, minimalist play of stripes and geometric patterns. Admirers of the craft will note the border motifs, which resemble a geometric interpretation of cypress trees in an almost ikats style—a playful new take on a classic befitting this piece’s reimagination of a celebrated Indian rug style.
