On the design:
Dominated by rich shades of pink and red, the field is enclosed by a brown border in this one-of-a-kind pictorial rug entitled “Hunter”. Decorated with flower vines, shrubs, and fauna – birds, rabbits, deer, horses, and wild boars – the field is densely imbued with pictorial illustrations and crafted with intense detail. However, it is the hunters on the horsebacks that give the rug its narrative sensibility and movement. The hunting scene also depicts a white lion in motion adding to the old-world charm of this piece. Admirers of the craft will further appreciate an especially soft, comfortable texture and beauty inherent in the silk that underscores this piece.
