Made with hand-knotted wool, this custom rug sample is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Classic Collection and is inspired by the most iconic tribal rug styles in history.
On the Design:
This custom rug design features old-world geometric lion pictorials in rust, blue, white and black tones among others. This piece is strongly inspired from Persian Gabbeh rugs and Karabagh rugs of similar geometric sensibility. Black fringes on the borders mark our signature weft in this collection, and a rich new complement to this nomadic style. It’s an intentional contribution to a classic for a more contemporary level of comfort, and one of the many beauties that makes this collection a sophisticated, smart new language in design.
