About the Item
A rare collectible Moroccan antique vintage shag rug. Made by the Beni Ourain tribe in the central middle Atlas mountains. Beautiful natural creamy white wool with natural brown details forming a traditional diamond, crosshatch design. The irregularity of the pattern make this such a charming and unique piece. It was an authentic Berber piece with fringe on one end.
It is made of handspun wool from sheep in the high mountains. This rug has a thick shag of lustrous soft wool with dense pile and solid structure. The glossy wool and natural colors give this rug a captivating effect. In excellent condition for its age and is a fine collectible rug. A one of a kind, unique handmade carpet.
Perfect for contemporary use, whether in a midcentury modern space or a contemporary interior. Also could be used as a tapestry or wall hanging.
