Extra Long Runner Rug, Hand Weaving Tribal Textile in Violet and Orange

About the Item

I am offering for sale a runner rug of important dimensions and unusual colors. 349cm long and 78cm wide, this rug of probable African origins, is perfect to be placed in a long corridor. This runner was not made by knotting the cotton fiber, but by weaving it, as if it were a very long embroidered fabric stole. Probably hand-woven in cotton, it is characterized by a splendid geometric pattern in which diamonds, hexagons and octagons fit together perfectly like the tiles of a mosaic. The strong point of this rug is certainly in the color, the dense embroidered purple geometric figures stand out from the yellow ochre background creating an optical effect. The conditions of the runner are good, it does not appear to have been particularly used and will be sent to you after a thorough cleaning ready to be placed in your home. The irregular edges of this guide present some threads more exposed than the other, totally normal in a handcrafted product. Reach out with any questions
