Vintage Moroccan "Boucherouite" rug hand-woven entirely with cut-up pieces from the fabric of old clothes. The word "Boucherouite" means rag or torn clothes in the Moroccan Arabic language. This beautiful Moroccan rug is in a colorful “shag rug” design. The many colors include green, yellow, blue, red, brown, and many more. This is providing the tribal women and their families settling down in the village to have a new source of income to support their families. The rug is designed to be fully functional on either side. The top side is woven similar to a rag or a shag rug. The back is flat-woven similar to a kilim.
