About the Item

Hand knotted in textural, durable fabric originating between 1950-1960, this vintage Moroccan Berber rug enjoys a warm transitional marriage of lively color and pattern. The shag texture of the fabric pile beautifully complements the play of vibrant gold-yellow, green, red, blue, purple, orange, and other varied colors with the juxtaposition of traditional and modern geometry (see the central diamond lozenges, checkerboard patterns, and chevron patterns). Likewise the pagination of these varied patterns attests to the intricacy these Classic pieces are known for among collectors today, lending to the rarity of this particular item.
