About the Item

Turkish influence from the “Transylvanian” 17th century rugs is evident in the octagonal panels in straw, cream and various browns, in a 2/1/2 layout. The main red border displays floating leaves in the Anatolian Bergama style. End borders contracted, but original. Coarse weave on wool. Good condition. Big and bold drawing. Rug Size 7'1x10'5
