Tower of Babel Rug by TEMPLE

About the Item

The TOWER OF BABEL was a creation myth that evolved over the course of many cultures. People built a beautiful tower or ziggurat to the sky, wanting to get close to their god. The god did not like that idea and cast them asunder and made them speak countless different languages in an effort to keep us apart.

Conjoined Rug by TEMPLE
Located in Los Angeles, CA
With design elements taken from the marks, streaks and blobs found on a dirty scanner bed, then twisted all up in knots, Conjoined is a pixellated mess. The bits of non-images used in the designs came from my development of a public health anti-smoking campaign and the creation of the dirty atmosphere I was looking for. +High pile with low pile details. Tibetan Wool and Silk, 150 knits, Hand-Knotted in Nepal +Colorways are named for historically notable conjoined twins.
