:: Incredibly fine and elaborate intricately detailed pictorial rug illustrating Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden with the serpent intricately drawn slithering in the apple tree with foliage covering throughout and an inscription panel at the top right. Inscription cartouche in Farsi reading: Hazrat (a respected word used for divine beings) Adam and Hazrat Eve. Colors and shades include: Ivory, cochineal red, dusty blush rose, lime green, jade green, dark copper, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even short pile across. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Multiple areas of expert restoration. Rug has a fabric band sewn to the reverse top end to hand on a wall with a dowel. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Kerman rug mat made in Persia circa 1910's vintage. Size measures 2'3" x 2'9".
