Antique South West Persian Khamseh tribal rug of large medallion design Circa 1900 A good Khamseh tribal rug with an interesting design of a large indigo blue medallion that appears to be breaking out into the borders There is a floral vine design to the field that is also found in the main border The rug could well be by the Baharlu sub tribe of the Khamseh The rug is in good condition with some wear and medium / low pile The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display The rug is suitable for normal domestic use Additional information: Place of Origin: Persia Period: Circa 1900 Size: 6ft 9in x 5ft 4in (206 x 163cm) Reference: R-2500
