Manchester rugs are among the finest antique Persian rugs. Made with special lustrous wool, these silky rugs are among the most prized pieces across the world. Manchester rugs are well known for their resilient pile and silky appearance. They are incredibly sought after in the Rug industry. These rugs were incredibly desired by upperclassmen and noblemen because of the superior quality.
The high knot count of these pieces is attributed to the extreme fine quality. Imported from England to Persia, Manchester wool is among the most exclusive and prestigious types of wool.
Manchester rugs also have a preferred color palette ranging from rusts and reds, to midnight blues. Most Manchester Kashan rugs have a red field, while the deep blue field is harder to come across.
