Bright orange and white flowers grow near the base of each tree. This Afshar rug displays an indigo border carrying repeating leaf patterns composed of tiny florets, the two guard borders reflect contrasting hues of flowers against a white background. The Afshar people of Iran today remain semi-nomadic. They are renowned for creating highly detailed handwoven rugs depicting exquisitely detailed flowering blossoms.
