Antique Persian Kazvin Carpet, circa 1930s

About the Item

This solidly woven town carpet shows a well-rendered version of the classical "Vase carpet" pattern on an old ivory field of a vinery lattice supporting various types of petalpalmettes with interstitial floral sprays. There are two small vases on the central Vertical axis. The natural dye palette includes a light blue main border with layered, oval palmettes connected by a classical strapwork. A very attractive and totally viable carpet.
