Antique Persian Kilim rug in Beige-Multicolor Tribal patterns by Rug & Kilim

About the Item

Handwoven in wool, this antique Kilim is the latest unveiled from R&K Principal Josh Nazmiyal’s coveted treasury of flat weave masterpieces. Originating circa 1920-1930, this particular Persian rug features a most unusual take on traditional motifs and colorways in its orientation. The design unfolds in rich tones of beige-brown with pink, red, blue, and green accents to the rustic palette—further using traditional symbols in a very individualistic, arresting orientation to any connoisseur of these works. Fine fringes on the lower border further complement the beauty of this early 20th century piece with a sense of presence and collectibility among works typically favoring more conventional techniques. Further sporting good condition, a brilliant large-size work of cultured, yet joyful air from this coveted provenance.
