About the Item
This Antique Mahal features a bold, red-brick field and blue border with gold, pale blue, ivory and olive accents. Rows of large-scale palmettes and floral motifs establish an active all-over design. This is a stately design produced for the European market by the Ziegler company in the early 20th century.
Sultanabad and surrounding areas, was a prominent center of village and workshop productions in the 19th and 20th centuries.
