About the Item
Antique Persian runner rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool. It’s colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Sarab design handwoven by expert artisans. It’s a lovely runner rug that can be incorporated with virtually any home interior design. It has a dimension of 3'5'' x 22' which works well for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms.
Sarab or Serab is a small village situated in Northwest Iran where a tribe of weavers specialized in handcrafting rugs with geometric and artistic designs. Unlike other rug making centers in ancient Persia, Serab was isolated from the influence of the booming rug commerce because of its remote location high up in the mountains. This allowed Sarab weavers to dictate and keep their own style which made Serab rugs even more desirable.
