Antique Persian Zanjan Rug with Red and Beige Tribal Details on Ivory Field

About the Item

Antique Persian rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool and colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Zanjan design featuring geometric tribal details in red and beige on an ivory field. It’s a lovely piece to showcase in contemporary and rustic spaces. It has a dimension of 4’1” x 6’5” which is ideal for living areas and bedrooms. Zanjan is a city in north-west Persia born from a booming salt mining industry. It was situated along the routes of the Silk Road that ran through Iran and became one of the vital stops for traders and merchants. It did not take long for locals to start weaving rugs with bold and vibrant colors. They used tribal designs that are similar to those found in Bijar rugs but with bigger patterns. IMPORTANT: ACTUAL RUG COLORS MAY VARY FROM PICTURES & DESCRIPTION. YOU MAY REQUEST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS/VIDEOS OR CONTACT US FOR CONFIRMATION BEFORE PURCHASE.
