Senna rugs are woven in northwest Persia and have a distinctive single-weft construction. The fine weaves found in these rugs promotes the creation of intricate curvilinear floral patterns. This rug has an overall boteh or pear design on an ivory field within an indigo border consisting of palmettes and vinery. In excellent overall condition, this rug measures 6' 4" x 4' 5".
