About the Item

Introducing the captivating masterpiece of textile artistry - the Caucasian Runner with a symphony of colors that dance and harmonize in perfect synchrony. This rug is a true testament to the vibrant soul of the Caucasus region, skillfully handwoven to evoke a sense of awe and wonder. The color scheme of this rug is a loaded palette of emotions, as if the weaver captured the essence of a rainbow and infused it with the spirit of the land. Hues of fiery red, regal blue, delicate ivory, soothing jade, cheerful yellow, soft pink, and deep navy come together in an enchanting display of color harmony. Each shade sings its own tune while joining the chorus of the overall composition. At the heart of this rug lies a procession of medallions, each a distinct work of art in its own right. These medallions, like celestial orbs, are adorned with a kaleidoscope of colors drawn from the rug itself. They create a sense of movement, a visual journey through the diversity of hues that enrich the rug's narrative. But it's the motifs that surround these medallions that truly bewitch the eye. Imagine birds taking flight in a flurry of colors, their plumage echoing the ever-changing backdrop. These motifs come alive, shifting their shades as if responding to the seasons, breathing life into the rug's surface. And then, there is the border - a geometric playground of sun motifs. These shapes radiate energy, embodying the warmth of the sun that graces the Caucasus landscape. Within their centers, intricate pin-wheel designs emerge, like playful whirlwinds of color and form. Some of these centers surprise with unique designs that the artist has lovingly placed, adding an element of delightful discovery to an already captivating rug. This Caucasian Runner is more than a floor covering; it's a journey through color and culture, a tactile feast for the senses. It's a testament to the weaver's skill and imagination, capturing the essence of a region in every knot and thread. Whether adorning a hallway or gracing a living space, this rug is a celebration of artistry and life itself, inviting you to step into its world of boundless beauty and joy.

Rewoven. Replacements made: On both sides the border guards were rewoven; they did a good job though of matching the colors well. Only way to notice it is from the lighter colored tassels that are at the corners of the rug (which we can stain to match the rest upon request). There are also three parts of the rug where the color takes an abrupt change. This is something that can be found in antique rugs as sometimes weavers run out of certain dyes or take breaks from a rug to go work on a different time sensitive rug.
