The main sandy beige field of this Sultanabad rug, made circa 1900, features a scrolling flowering vine and serrated leaf pattern overall, within a cocoa palmette and scrolling vine border.

It was carefully knotted by hand out of high-quality wool thanks to which it looks as if it was just taken down from the looms.
