About the Item

Kashan rugs are a type of Persian rug that originates from the city of Kashan in Iran. They are highly regarded for their exquisite craftsmanship, intricate designs, and rich history. Kashan has been a prominent center of rug production for centuries and is known for producing some of the finest Persian carpets. Kashan rugs are traditionally handwoven using high-quality wool or silk, and they often feature intricate floral and geometric patterns. The designs are typically symmetrical and meticulously detailed, showcasing the skill and artistry of the weavers. The color palette of Kashan rugs is diverse, including vibrant reds, blues, greens, and earthy tones. Kashan rugs have a long and storied history, dating back several centuries. They were favored by royalty and nobility and were considered prized possessions. These rugs were often commissioned by wealthy individuals and were known for their exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Today, Kashan rugs continue to be highly sought after by collectors and rug enthusiasts worldwide. They are regarded as a symbol of luxury, elegance, and timeless beauty. Whether used as decorative pieces or functional floor coverings, Kashan rugs add a touch of sophistication and artistry to any space. Eliko Rugs by Davi Ariel features this well-woven central Persian city carpet that displays an uncommon light blue field with a small, softly lobate central medallion, partial ragged medallions along the four sides, octofoils, palmettes and leaves. The saturated red border shows cypresses in cartouches, boteh leaves, palmettes and floret sprays. A Kashan unusual in color and pattern. Good condition.
