Extremely Fine Antique Turkish Silk Hereke Rug 2'0" x 3’5”. The post-WWII, finely woven  (or better), primarily silk scatters and larger rugs woven in Persian styles, often in niche (prayer) or medallion layouts, in a suburb of Istanbul, Turkey. Some copies of 16th century Persian prayer rugs in local museums. Short pile, silk foundations usual. Small pieces as wall hangings. Almost all in top condition.
