An incredible 19th century Persian Mission Malayer rug with a wonderful pattern containing two large floral medallions against a dark indigo background amidst an intensely woven field of more flowers and scrolling vines woven in myriad colors including crimson, gold, green, light and dark indigo, and cream. The border is wide with three distant patterns containing more flowers and scrolling vines.
