Lady's Carpet: Vintage Petite Esfahan
About the Item
This soft and finely woven Esfahan was circa 1980 was found in a warehouse in as new condition . Soft lamb's wool in a light off white shade with several shades of pink and blues . Silk embroidery has been woven into the design as highlights -- see the bright white edges in and along the medallion and curling leaves patterns . This is a soft, dense carpet with a high knot count, in the high court tradition of Esfahan carpet weaving- classically, one of three centres of Persia's highest accomplished court weavers, along with Tabriz and Kerman. The design is balanced and exquisitely executed. The size, softness, colours and silk highlights make it a heart winning ladies gift. This hard to find size, especially in an as new condition, carries a short term discount of 30% during our First dibs launch period.
