About the Item
The camel tone field displays an allover pattern of “goosenecks”, palmettes, hexagons and leafy vinery bits while the pearl main border shows a meander anchored by palmettes and decayed leaves. A very unusual piece with Caucasian echoes. A rare piece considering that the Bakshayesh type was extinct by 1900. Good condition considering the age and use. Moderate weave on cotton.
