About the Item
Handwoven in the town of Senneh, center of Kurdistan this rug is a fine example of Krudish weaving. The town Senneh was one of the most famous carpet-making center in the world in the 10th and early 20th century. The knots are Turkish and the technique used to make Senneh rugs are superb.
This rug with a center medallion sitting in the rows of Herati design motifs is more of a classic version of Kurdish rugs who are otherwise known to make more of tribal pieces. There are no restorations on this rug and the carpet is in absolut mint condition.
