About the Item

This carpet is handwoven in region Chahar Mahal where the Bakhtiari tribe settled in west central Iran. The field design of compartmentalized tree and flower is the signature pattern of Bakhtiari rugs. The freedom of design overall and the stunning border make this rug bold and exciting and a wonderful palette of glowing natural dyes completes the garden. There are no restorations on this rug and it is found to be in a very good shape for its age and usage.
