About the Item

This is a SUPERB antique Persian Oriental rug Yazed (Kerman) from the mid 19th century in excellent condition. No repairs! Untouched condition. The rug is complete with nothing missing from the ends or the two sides. This is the first time we see a PERSIAN rug with complete original the two side weave. this mostly because this rug is so fine and for all this year was hanged on the wall but sure you can use it on the floor. For this rug, you need a rubber pad for under the rug if you have hard floor AND we will provide you the correct pad for under the rug. The dye is excellent, as are most mid 19th Century rugs of this type, with all natural colors. There is NO wear - it's very likely this rug was kept on the wall. This is the first time we've seen this type of rug with both sides present with no damage! The weave is extremely fine (see photos), almost like paper.
