Twin Antique Persian Rug Saraband Design with Majestic ‘Boteh’ Field, circa 1950
About the Item
Finely woven by hand using exquisite wool and vibrant vegetable dyes, this antique Persian rug features a wide, open field of ‘boteh’ or leafy patterns popular in Saraband made carpets. Weavers skillfully blended red, black, ivory and blue to make it appear kingly and ideal for traditional, modern, and contemporary home interiors. It has a dimension of 3’5” x 13’9” which suits living and dining areas as well as hallways and bedrooms. It has an identical pair with slight variations in size and color available upon request.
