Vintage Kurdish Persian Kilim in Stripes & Geometric Patterns

About the Item

This vintage 6x6 Persian Kilim is a square Jajim flat weave, believed to originate in Kurdistan—handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960. On The Design: The Jajim flat weave technique refers to the practice of combining multiple pieces into one larger square Kilim like this vintage flat weave. Its design enjoys stripes and geometric patterns in red, green, blue and beige-brown—a rich play of traditional tribal colors. It’s an exemplary choice, teeming with the rustic old-world charm that distinguishes Persian flat weaves to this day. Condition: The mid-century Persian Kurdish Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
