Vintage Persian Malayer hand knotted runner woven in the first quarter of the 1900s. The Malayer runner has a beautiful all over geometric design set in a navy blue background with a pale yellow and red border. The design elements include large geometric forms lined in three columns. The forms have brilliant colors of French blue, brown, red, yellow, and orange. The design of animal forms including sheeps, horses and birds throughout the field add to the uniqueness and beauty of this village woven rug. The runner has a triple border design with the similar color scheme as the field. Truly a fantastic creation that adds beauty and grace to any space that is used.
