About the Item

This vintage Qashqai is exceptional for a number of reason, the first being its size, hard to find especially in an antique or vintage piece. The beauty of the central field, filled with a vast selection of patterns and colors, is complimented so well by the main border which itself is enclosed by multiple smaller borders. The quality of the weave and wool's used only confirm how special this wonderful kelleh size rug is. The Qashqai are a tribal confederation in Iran. They come from different ethnic backgrounds including Turkoman, Lurs and Kurds. Their rugs often have geometric patterns and floral designs. Most Qashgai rugs are small to medium sized. Size: 7'5" x 19'0.
