This vintage 6x13 Persian kilim is handwoven in all wool, and originates circa 1950-1960. Further on the Design: The design prefers brown tones with brick red, beige, and bright blue accents in diagonal rows of geometric patterns. Keen eyes will admire the meticulous detail and movement this slit weave enjoys, and appreciate a deft hand seldom-seen in gallery runners. This is a rich, comfortable piece of folk art as much as a handmade rug, and a subtle exemplar of tribal weaving. Further on the Condition: This mid-century Persian flat weave further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
