Mid-Century Rya Carpet, Swedish Rug, Colorful

About the Item

A vintage Danish area wool rug made by Rya in Denmark circa 1960s. The bright colored rug features long shaggy fibers and remains in excellent condition. On the background of mottled red colors in subtle different shades, splashes of purple and orange form an abstract pattern that is quintessential of the iconic 60s aesthetic. The original label still attached to the back as shown. I purchased this rug from its original owner, his Mid- Century style house had this rug as a tapestry for decades on a living room wall, this rug has never been used as a rug or stepped on. The colors are vibrant and would be perfect in any modern decor not only Mid Century A rare find in this condition !
