An elegant custom flat weave from Rug & Kilim’s Scandinavian Kilim Collection. Exemplified in this prior 5x5'9 edition, this kilim design possesses exemplary textural sensibility that perfectly integrates with the uniform geometric pattern sitting handsomely in shades of muted blue, beige & brown with for a thoughtful colorplay. Besides embodying the fine traits of mid-century Swedish aesthetics, this kilim exhibits exceptional durability and buckle resistance making it desirable for areas foreseeing high foot traffic.
Connoisseurs may further note the deep brown hue almost reads with a black accent in play with the bright and cool beige and blue tones seen here. Furthermore the handsome look of striation is born of our proprietary, undyed natural yarns blended within the handwoven wool. The latter technique both complements the geometry with subtle distinction and nods to traditional techniques in Swedish Modernism. All a reverent contribution to the renowned mid-century modern style through an innovative contemporary craftsmanship.
