Antelope Canyon Pool Blue Green Organic Rectangle Area Rug Standard Size
About the Item
This tranquil blue and green rug is inspired by the stunning ’slot canyon’ in Arizona. The design is created around a central light pouring in through the top gap in the aged rock and creating a multitude of mixing blue and green colours. The dynamic organic shapes of the design echo the outline of an ever-evolving formation, shaped by the elements of nature for millennia.
This design has been created in three different colour ways: Twilight, Pool and Mist. Each version is based on the colours seen on the rocks at different times of the day and the feeling experienced when witnessing them. The lighting inside the Canyon changes from the early morning sun, to the after rain freshness and the setting sun and so do the colours on its walls.
The Pool colour way is inspired by the after rain light and water pools gathering inside the Canyon. During monsoon season flash flooding of the Antelope Canyon is very frequent. Rain does not have to fall on or near the slots for flash floods to whip through, even rain falling dozens of miles away can have that effect. The resulting atmosphere is a still, murmuring one. The green and blue colours combined with the flowing organic shapes in the Antelope Canyon Pool design recreates the peace that comes with being in nature.
